Klangers (jr. & sr. high school students - meets Tuesdays from 7-8:30 P.M.)
and Asbury Ringers (elementary grades 3-6 - meets from 3:30-5:00 P.M. on

Vocal Choirs
A mainstay of the 11:00 A.M. Sunday worship is the Sanctuary Choir.
Practices are at 7:15 P.M. on Wednesday evenings with a pre-service rehearsal at 10:15 A.M. on Sunday morning. Music in a wide variety of styles from classical to contemporary is included in the repertoire. The choir sings
from September through June at the 11:00 A.M. service.
A newly formed Youth Choir has begun meeting on Sunday evenings at 7:00 P.M. for practice. The choir is working on music in both contemporary and traditional settings.
The elementary school Children's Choir meets Wednesday afternoons at 3:30 P.M. They often lead worship with the Sanctuary Choir during the Advent and Lenten seasons. Vocal techniques and basic music skills are incorporated as
new songs are learned. The Children's Choir anchors the Sunday School singers when the children sing in worship services and members often participate in the annual musical dinner theater presented in the spring.
Brass Choir and Special Ensembles are put together as needed. Instrumental soloists are welcome to accompany service music at the discretion of the
Director of Music.
The Praise Band made its debut in December 2004 and is planning to be part of worship services on a regular basis (usually the third Sunday of the
month). |
