Announcing a new Small Group Ministry at First United Methodist Church!
The mission of GRACE group is to provide a safe and welcoming space for adults ages 18+ for Growing Relationships And Christian Exploration. The ongoing foundational theme of this ministry will be the awareness and practice of receiving God's grace in our lives towards personal transformation.
Our next 6 week series will have the theme “One Month To Live” based on the book by Kerry and Chris Shook. This topic will bring acute awareness to our choices of how we live our daily lives as we consider the thought experiment of “What if I have only one month to live?” How would we prioritize what we do or don’t do, who we engage with, what and how we communicate, and how we prepare for our death if we knew we only had this brief time left to live?
Participants may want to purchase the book but this not required. We are asking for a six week commitment on Mondays from 6:30-8:00pm beginning January 19th and ending February 23rd, 2026. The group will meet in the Embury Room at FUMC. You may sign up with Kieran at secretary@firstumc-oneonta.org.
