The Southern Tier Aids Program (STAP) will be coming to Huntington Park every Tuesday this summer from 11 am – 2 pm. On the first Tuesday of each month, they will have a Narcan training tent. If anyone needs sharps containers, Narcan, or similar resources, you can stop by and visit them. They’ll be in the upper area of the park behind the church.
On Tuesday, June 2, they will also be providing testing for HIV, Hepatitis C, and STIs.
STAP’s mobile van brings essential harm reduction services directly to rural and underserved areas that lack a local Syringe Exchange Program (SEP). This “syringe exchange on wheels” provides safer use supplies, overdose prevention tools like naloxone, HIV/HCV testing, and referrals to care and support. By traveling to where people are, we help reduce barriers and meet individuals with compassion, dignity, and respect."
