Made for More

Holiness is at the heart of what it means to be United Methodist. Over the past several weeks, we’ve explored our Methodist history and the Wesleyan understanding of grace. Now, we turn to how that faith is lived out in everyday life – what we call holiness.

John Wesley spoke of holiness as having two essential dimensions: personal holiness and social holiness. Personal holiness includes the practices and commitments that nurture our spiritual lives and draw us closer to God. Social holiness is how that inward transformation takes shape in the way we love, serve, and engage with the world around us.

In this series, we’ll explore holiness as a defining mark of Methodist identity – both in our own lives and in the life of the church today.
